What is your "why" for getting into healthcare?

My mom and grandma both work(ed) in the delivery side of healthcare, so it was always a natural path for me to take. I initially thought I was going to go to medical school, but I took some business classes in college and found myself really enjoying them. I tried to figure out a way to combine my passion for healthcare with my interest in business and discovered healthcare administration and never looked back! I'm still very early in my career, but I look forward to learning about the industry as I navigate it.

What is your favorite part of being in CHEF?

As a recent graduate, I loved getting involved with CHEF as a student. Everyone is so kind and supportive, and so eager to engage with me as someone with a different perspective from a seasoned careerist. That's how I ended up joining the CHEF board!

What is a fun fact that people might not know about you?

I am not only a first generation American, but the only person in my family born in America. My dad was born in Ukraine and my mom and sister were born in Uzbekistan. My parents moved here in '88 and I'm forever inspired by their resilience and grateful for the life they have provided for me. Thank you mom and dad!
